Located in the charming rue de Gand, our restaurant is a true homage to Lille gastronomy. For more than two decades, we have been committed to highlighting the typical dishes of the region, in a warm and friendly setting. Our estaminet, a place to meet and share, offers you a menu rich in local specialties. Enjoy our famous carbonnade, a simmered beef dish in beer, or indulge in the tasty welsh, a recipe based on melted cheddar on a slice of mustarded bread with ham and egg. Lovers of more refined dishes will appreciate our veal liver pan-fried with garlic while gourmets will delight in our traditional potjevleesch, a white meat terrine in jelly. The atmosphere of our restaurant is like Lille: welcoming and warm. Whether you are with family, friends or for a special occasion, our team offers you a personalized and attentive welcome. Come discover or rediscover the authentic flavors of our beautiful region in a typically Lille setting. We look forward to seeing you share a moment of conviviality and deliciousness.
Welcome to Le Soyeux, an estaminet that celebrates a unique tradition from the North of France. The “silky” is a colorful metal object, often representing people or animals, placed near the counter. Its slow 15-minute swing signaled to customers that it was time to have their last drink and leave, exclaiming "see you silky!", to avoid nightly after-hours brawls. The term "silky" is also a nickname for a pest, and it was also the affectionate nickname that the boss's grandmother gave to the latter, adding a personal and family touch to our establishment. Le Soyeux recreates the The atmosphere of the estaminets of yesteryear with its period objects, including a traditional silk. There you can enjoy regional dishes like Flemish stew, potjevleesch and Welshs. To accompany your meal, we offer a variety of carefully selected beers and wines.
